We recommend using a pattern of "L" plus six digits for your location codes. Then, when you scan that barcode, AssetTrack will read the pattern, determine that it's a location code, and lookup that location from the database. Now, your mobile users simply scan that location barcode and that location is selected. It's almost as good as a default location. One extra scan, but a heck of a lot easier than searching for the location using the drop down controls on the Windows Mobile client or the location navigator on iOS.
